Gary Walker established Palm Beach Soccer Academy in 1996, a former Y.T.S. soccer professional (with Leyton Orient Football Club), from England and N.S.C.A.A. certified and U.S.S.F. licensed soccer coach, he has more than 27 years coaching experience in the local community. As former Director of Coaching to the exclusive "Benjamin School" in Palm Beach Gardens, Gary now conducts the school's "Summer Soccer Clinic's" program, at the same time acting as the Academy's President. The Academy has, since its inception, been run on a part-time basis. Operating with the assistance of soccer parents, in support of the Academy's coaches.

At present the Academy uses two public facilities in Palm Beach Gardens for training and games, they are:

PGA National Park, (Northlake Blvd Entrance.) and

The Burns Road Municipal Recreation Fields.

The Academy anticipates having up to 12 teams for the coming 2005/06 season. Teams currently operate on a self-governing basis, with the team coach and the parents collectively taking responsibility for all team activities and organizational requirements, the correct equipment, competition entries, and travel to and from away matches. The Academy provides the umbrella organization under which each team operates. Setting the standard in training and training policy, and in the standards of discipline and performance. All coaches affiliated with the academy, are closely vetted and have background checks completed on each coach by FYSA & City of Palm Beach Gardens and approved for their training skills, and teaching ability. All carry certification from N.S.C.A.A., U.S.S.F. or U.E.F.A.

Although Palm Beach Soccer Academy primarily serves residents of Palm Beach Gardens, players from Stuart, Hobe Sound, Jupiter, North Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, West Palm Beach and Juno Beach also participate.
